The Vulcan Riders Association is an international association founded to provide a means for Kawasaki Vulcan riders worldwide to meet and ride in chapter-based and inter-chapter activities.
Is maintained by donation from the various National Chapters, in 2008 All European Chapters donated sufficient funds to reclaim the Vulcanriders.net URL and register it for 10 years. the actual site is hosted on web space donated by VRA UK and maintained by Chief alongside the VRA UK web site, however any AEC Member can recover the name and redirect it should the VRA UK fold so the independence of the National Chapters is maintained.
The AEC link on the menu is for AEC members use, hence the login restrictions.
The AEC (Association Executive Committee) is made up of all the National Presidents / Vice Presidents and in some cases a translator as all AEC business is conducted in English being the most commonly understood language. As far as is possible the AEC stays out of National Chapter business, and the independence of the National Chapters is not only respected but depended upon to keep the VRA strong and growing. However they are there to promote international growth by forming new National Chapters and assist other National Chapter Officers as and when requested.
First check the Chapters page to see if there is a VRA National Chapter in your country, if there is then please follow there web site for joining instructions. If there is no National Chapter you have 2 options, Option 1 gather a minimum of 5 Vulcan owners and contact the International President by Email to start a new National Chapter, This will often be under the guidance of a neighboring National Chapter until you become sufficiently established to become independent. Option 2 contact the Non Chapter Members President when there are 5 or more members in any country the Non Chapter Members President will liaise with the members with the aim of setting up a new National Chapter.
The purpose of the Association is to promote responsible motorcycling activities for its members by conducting chapter activities and encouraging the participation of its members in these activities while maintaining a family-oriented atmosphere.
The Vulcan Riders Association will endeavor to:
Every VRA Chapter operates under the same set of guidelines as defined by the International Bylaws. however we must recognise the needs of National Chapters to exist with in the laws of their country therefore the bylaws are maintained in as simple a form as possible and you need to refer to the version on your own country's web site which may vary in some areas. The intention is to create a robust communication structure with each National Chapter able to run independently in co-operation with the other National Chapters, whilst not being dependant on them. click here to read the Bylaws
